The Journey Begins

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

post

Thank you for joining me on my journey. I spent the better part of the last thirty years trying to figure out how to be “happy”. I followed all the guidelines that society states you should do in order to be happy in life.

I learned, what society thinks we should do or have, is total crap!

I worked hard, I was a “yes” person, did everything to keep moving up the corporate ladder. Married a wonderful man, had two beautiful kids, had the big house and the brand new car. I had that type of life that everyone seemed to look at me and say “you have the million dollar family”. So why was I not content, not happy, still searching for the next thing to keep moving forward? It hit me like a ton of bricks; that is what society considers “normal”, not me.

Normal? That is something I don’t see in myself. I have experienced many different changes in life and went through a difficult time, but now I am finding myself again. With the help of my therapist and self awareness techniques, I am listening to my body and making decision for me instead of everyone else.

This blog is just the start of something great. Hopefully you will join my tribe and maybe some of what i am experiencing will resonate with you.

Sincerely,
